A Love Letter to my Body

One of the commitments that I made this year was to read and implement books and courses that are relevant to my life’s journey now. I am so good at buying another book or course, and before I’ve finished reading it (let alone implementing it), I’m already distracted by the next Bright Shiny Object.

Enough is Enough. Time to knuckle down and Do.The.Work. (I talk about Mastery vs Overload here)

The first book that I chose to implement was Crafting a Daily Practice, as I felt it would be the best one for helping me design a daily practice that I could maintain. And I’m delighted to say that I’m on Week 6! So far, so good!

One of the practices this week was to write a letter to your body, and I share with you my letter …

I love you. I really do. I am eternally grateful for the good health that you have maintained over the years and how well you serve me. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I am in awe of your complexity and how you function so “naturally”. I don’t have to think about it – you just get on and do what needs to be done. Absolutely frickin’ amazing! It gets me everytime I think about it. From growing another human being within me, to my heart beating day in and day out. As regular as clockwork. It blows my mind!

I probably don’t show you the appreciation that I should, given what you provide me with (actually there’s no probably about it. I don’t). We think you are indestructable … so not true – and I apologise for abusing you. For not listening to any requests that you have made of me.

I need a real attitude change and to become more in tune with what you want and not use you as a punch bag when I’m feeling down and taking out my bad moods and emotions out on you through food abuse. How do I really expect you to give a good return when I don’t look after you properly? And I complain when you’re having a bad day and letting me know that you have a problem instead of trying to remedy the situation.

It is my desire to grow old gracefully and to have vibrant health for all of my days here on earth. And I make it my undertaking to give you the best resources and care that you need to function at the top of your game.

To provide you with quality, healthy foods, prepared (and enjoyed) with love. No more wolfing down food unaware of what I’m eating.

To provide you with fresh air and to breathe properly so that the toxins can be eliminated from my body, and pure, clean oxygen can be transported around my body.

To only touch my body with love and care, and appreciate this amazing skin and all it does and provide it with regular massages and other healing therapies.

To exercise regularly to keep the muscles toned and working in good order. Use it or lose it.

To listen to any aches or pains I may feel and what the message is that you are telling me – and then acting on it!

To have only loving thoughts to you in how you look and to express gratitude for all you do for me.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We exist as body, mind and souls and as Prosperity Goddesses we need to look after all these aspects if we want to live our best lives ever.

The way you do anything is the way you do everything. How we treat our body is a direct reflection of how we treat our money, our relationships with others – and the outcome of our lives is the result.

I would encourage you to write a letter to your body – and then write one from your body to you and see what you’ve got to say …

Share below any insights that you have from your letters.
