Do You Need A Guru?

In this day and age where “spirituality” and “guru” are becoming buzz words, I find it is all to easy to fall into the trap of looking for someone to provide the “right” path and “process” to becoming “enlightened”.

The truth of the matter is there is no “one path” and there is no “perfect process”.

There is only “our path”. And it is rarely a straight path! It can normally appear quite messy 😉

Yes, we may meet some people along the way who can guide us based on their experiences. But remember, their experiences are based on their life, not yours.

Take from them what resonates with you, and leave the rest. We do not have to follow blindly in their footsteps.

I know I have spoken before of people being “further along the path” than me, but this isn’t totally true. We are not all on the same path. Our paths cross and we can walk awhile together and then go on our own way.

At no stage should we feel compelled to stay with one person because they appear more enlightened than us.

The only voice that we need to heed is our own voice from within. It holds all the answers for us. Sometimes we don’t listen properly and don’t hear it’s wisdom and others can help us hear the wisdom that is truth for us.

We are all individuals.

Different methods appeal to each and every one of us.

It is our job to find out what is right for us.

There are many forms of energy healing, which all work, but we will resonate with some better than others. It doesn’t make the others ineffective. Only note ones that resonate with us.

Take the time out to find what makes your heart sing, what heals your wounds and whose wisdom inspires you.

Be true to yourself and always make decisions on what resonates with you.

Share with us below how you are guided on your path.
